Benelux Retail Print Giant, Em. de Jong, Orders a Landa S10P
Em. de Jong chooses the Landa S10P to increase customer service
Rehovot, Israel – September 7, 2020 –– Landa Digital Printing today announces that the largest retail print specialists in Benelux, Royal printing Em. de Jong, has ordered a Landa S10P Nanographic Printing® Press. The B1/41 in. digital press is expected to enable Em. de Jong to respond to ever more complex retail print requirements for increased volumes of shorter run, collated jobs.
Installation of the Landa press will be at the company’s headquarters in Baarle-Nassau, the Netherlands. According to Em. de Jong, the new Landa S10P will allow them to add new print services such as larger POP and POS graphics (70×100), as well as increase productivity and reduce time to market. They also claim that it will provide customers with increased flexibility and personalization opportunities.
“The size, speed, quality and versatility of the Landa S10P is unique. For our POS, POP and commercial print markets, we currently operate a number of toner based digital presses, offset presses and large format inkjet printers. And they all have their place, but we always look ahead to the next technology that can give us a competitive edge. The Landa S10P is that product – smart-tech for the future that can drive new business and add value to the process,” said Stijn de Jong, Em. de Jong CEO.
“Because the Landa S10P is based on an offset sheet size, we will be able to leverage this size increase to significantly improve productivity. This will also mean that we can streamline the process, enabling us to meet increased demand for shorter run length work. In addition, as the Landa press can print on any uncoated stock, we’re looking to extend that beyond our current substrate types, to give customers even more choice.”
A Landa S10P Nanographic Printing® Press will be installed at Em. de Jong’s
headquarters in Baarle-Nassau, in the Netherlands.
Established in 1906 in Baarle-Nassau, Em. de Jong is a fourth-generation family business employing 1,200 staff and with seven production sites across the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium. Servicing many retail outlets in Western Europe, the company produces and delivers thousands of printed jobs per week, including a wide range of POS and POP graphics, brochures and leaflets.
“We are excited to start our Landa journey. As a full production duplex machine running at 6,500 sheets per hour, the Landa press fulfils all market needs and will help us to stay competitive. It’s the natural next step for us,” said Stijn de Jong.
Manuel Schrutt, General Manager EMEA at Landa Digital Printing, comments, “We’re proud to add Em. de Jong to the Landa family and to extend our customer base in this important region. What’s more, the continued validation that our speed, print quality and format size is exactly what companies like Em. de Jong are searching for, suggests that Nanography® is still the technology of choice for forward thinking businesses looking to future proof their offering.”
